Yes haha. It was like lets make pictures that scare the shit out of people, and this is what someone came up with and it branched from there...? At least thats what I've heard.

The only thing that I've that has to do with him is the MarbleHornets series, which is pretty sweet. There hasn't been a new one in a while though.

It was a contest for who can make the creepiest picture(s) on the Something Awful forums. I think it was in 2005. Someone made the slenderman pictures and gave it a back story, and they obviously won.
The whole slenderman story is kinda creepy, but also 100% made up. There is no "real evidence", there is no urban legend, there are no victims, its just a story that was made up on a forum site.
I dont mean to sound like a party pooper and ruinging peoples fun, but it kind of aggravates me when people know absolutely nothing about it and theyre actually afraid of it or start to believe it.
