Slits HELP QUICK

On the downtube should i have the slit at the back left,right, please about to cut

Do you have a scs? Ics? Threaded? Hic?

Scs= no slits
Hic,ics,threaded= Slit about 1/4 of an inch higher than your clamp. Do it on 1 side and then drill a hole at the top of the slit. Only on 1 side.

left and right (either way is fine tbh) and then drill a hole on the top of the slit so it doesn't get any bigger. make sure the slit is only 2 inches long

only make one slit, it doesnt matter where it is but for it to work better it should line up with the slit in the back of your clamp so on the backside of the bar would probably look the best, and yeah like the other guy said, drill a hole at the top of it so it wont spread up your bars.
