Gaming, I haven't really kept up to date with how many games are mac compatible but last time I checked it really wasn't much. And music wise they are a solid choice with programs like garage band, logic, and ableton. And I mean if you can get it for free than why the hell not

Macs run smoother for longer and you have less a chance of getting a virus
My first laptops gonna be a macbook pro for sure.
Not always the case, and reasons macs dont get viruses is because nobody wants to write viruses for macs because nobody valuable (major companies and what not) uses them. A Windows laptop will run just as long and just as smooth as a mac for a lot less money if you use some pretty simple anti-virus programs.

With my experience, EVERY SINGLE windows computer anyone ive ever known has had, it has gone to shit. I used a 2008 fucked up macbook and it still ran better than any other windows computer. Mac's do run smoother for longer.

There are loads of mac viruses now. The mac user base has expanded ten fold over the last 3-4 years and now people have been writing viruses extensively on them since 2011. They were always around anyway, just extremely hard to come by.

Well it seems to be that I'm a bit out of touch with the computer world currently lol.

Getting my iphone was one of the greatest decisions.

You know if you mac people took about an hour and learned how to actually properly use a pc........
I used a pc for my whole life till the last two years, the mac interface is awesome and they always run smooth. 800$ on my imac was probably my best purchase ever, this thing is amazing. Yea you can get better laptops for the price i will admit

My family computer was a custom built super computer, piece of shit pc crashed like 3 times

Probably built wrong and didn't buy parts that would work very well together, such as a high power/output pc with a shit power supply is going to do nothing but fuck over the power supply and not work. Also, anti-virus and such helps.

You have to maintain a PC and not download a bunch of bloatware on it. You probably didn't give a shit to ever clear the cookies and clean it out and downloaded hella shit. Macs are more easy to maintain but even then my mom has a 4 year old Mac and its the biggest pile of shit. Even my dads old iMac is shit. He just got a Mac book air and its slower than my normal ass Asus, does less, and costs 10 times more. So no as long as you have some common since and know your way around a PC it won't crap out on you. I know someone using a 1.2 GHz IBM running Windows me and its still working like a charm. A slow charm none the less but it doesn't crap out because the user has some minor knowledge of computers and how to maintain them. If your PC craps out, its your fault. My old dv6 crapped out and I admit it was my fault. I learned from it though and my Asus is going strong as hell after a heavy ass year of use because I learned to maintain my computer the right way.

anthony..

That's a lie if your good ass PCs are crapping out on you. Straight up lie. Its impossible for you to maintain a PC the right way and have it crap out on you. I've seen god damn windows 98 running like a champ on an old ass dell tower with no memory or reasonable clock speeds. There's no way your "super PC" crapped out on you unless you treated it like shit. So no I don't buy that.

And maintaining it starts from day one. Dont think you can get a PC with half the registry corrupted and bring it back without extensive knowledge of programming.
