so GLAD

i could really care less who he is. i don't care if he is the greatest rider on planet earth, scooter parts are really not that expensive and i'm tired of people saying they are. God should be spelled with a capital g too, asshole.

please forgive him he did he make fun of your god!?

I spent like $70 on my current setup. No games. It rides better than the 1000 or so dollars worth of parts I've bought over the 2 years I've been riding.

This pisses me off.

I should be capitalized too, with a capital I.

A rather good dialled set up could be:
Pro deck - 25
Lucky w/ HIC - 65?
Deck saver - 40 ish
(or skip deck and saver for Ultra pro deck, 50-65?)
Lucky nork - 60?
Pinch ring and spare crown race headset - ...? (spare from friend's? Bike shop? (5$?))
Grips + griptape - 25?
brake - Spare from old scoot/friends
stock bearings from old scooters/friends
stock clamp - ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
scooterzone demon wheels - 25$
Semi dialled and cheap. ~$250 bucks.

You can build up a solid noodle for $200ish if you choose your parts wisely, and considering that scooters with good aftermarket parts on them last.. well, longer than any bike or skateboard would, it's a pretty damn good deal.

basically, scootering is expensive if you want it to be. you could go all stock, maybe a few aftermarket parts here and there, or all new parts, no razor stuff at all and the cost will be much steeper. and if you're going to be a stickler about capitalizing God, then don't cuss in the same sentence, it ruins the purpose.

this thread is retarded...

Exactley this, tho, I'll explane why.

Since I know that Chris Bendel is one of the riders from old days...I see where you're coming from. Back in the days you did what, bolt the mech on a pro, bolted your bars and hot glued the pro wheels? And that was a decent setup, wasn't it? I did the same, but guess what. My riding improved, and a bolted pro (actually, b-model) with glued wheels simply doesn't cut it anymore.

But still, the fact that there are now a ton of aftermarket parts, wich are stronger/lighter but also more expensive, doesn't mean you still can't pick up a stock pro from wallmart and mod it as you did 3 years ago.

Saying "oh I'm glad I quit scootering, shit got expensive..." is retarded.
As I said, only thing expensive are the aftermarket parts...if you don't need/want them, noone forces you to buy them...a stock pro still rides like a stock pro...cheers!

It doesn't have to be expensive, you were riding good with a basically stock pro. I have alot of hobbies and scootering is one of the cheapest lol. Try getting a nice mountain bike setup for under $2 grand. Real nice can run you 5-10g. So no, it doesn't really bother me spending a couple hundred on a scooter since the only part that breaks/wears regularly is wheels, the rest are long term investments.

wait till your ultra pro breaks haha.

WTF, this is the third person who claims I have an ultra pro, I do not, and have not owned an ultra pro.

In my post I stated the rider who created this thread was sick with just a regular pro with a few mods, where does an ultra pro come in?

josh i always tell greg to hit me up if he wants to ride and he never does

hes lying ;)

and if theres another summer jam where everyone comes to ny i might go to see josh toy and spicy mchaggis and dom gullo if he goes
