So... let's catch me up to speed.

tl:dr? skip to the red lettering below the 2 lists

Last time I actually scootered was when I was leaving middle school.... Last I remember me working on was double whips on flat, and scooterflips on flyboxes.... now... I used to have a Razor new A, I recently scrapped it for an Old B (the ones called city bug or something?) and... well.... here's my setup right now.

Base scooter:razor old B model (basically equal to the pro model from 4 years ago)
Front fork: Came off of an old razor A model
front wheel: agent orange
back wheel: green machine
bearings: some stuff I had lying around... I think.... nbd...
handlebar grips: some 6$ bell grips from walmart.

A few things before you start ripping on me
-yes I'm cheap
-I buy what works
-Last time I browsed these forums people were concerned about the strength and were welding crap to their scooter for exactly that.
-our selection of scooters was razor A AA AAA and pro, or if we were lucky old A and old B (all made by razor)
-as for my wheels we bought them because they were considered 2nd to yak's (seeing as before they went out their last run were total crap and didn't cure properly if I remember correctly)

SO! as you're guessing, I'm kinda forced to be a classic rider
And well... I guess I want to know where scootering's been taken too. Obviously it's advanced, and has gotten to a HUGE point where we have our own companies, (I still remember when we had to order racing skate wheels to upgrade our scooters). I mean as for now I'm content with what I've got, but... I want to know how it's gotten this far. What made it so that the progression got this far in four years?! it's very impressive that this happened in such a short time.

I'm sure some of the veterans on the forum can sympathize with me.

p.s. sorry for sounding like an old fart... just going through memories with my old friends I used to scooter with (they're in Germany now :/ )
