Looking for a solid decent HD cam, and I have about $300, planning on purchasing a opteka baby death fisheye and handle soon after, but I was wondering your opinions on this camera or ideas for any other suggestions for cams, im not a cam expert so any help would be appreciated, thanks!

i have a sony cx 130 which isn't as good as the cx 190. but you can check out my videos for the kind of quality the camera puts out. the interlacing (or little lines) are from the editing, not the footage. i render in 720 but the camera films in 1080. i like it.

ok thanks Riley, honestly I dont really care about the higher up ones haha, if the cx 130 is about the same as the 190 i'll just get that, thanks man

yeah no problem. if i'm not mistaken, the 190 is a little bit better. make sure you always set the white balance yourself though, it makes the colors look muchhh much better. also keep your lenses clean. those two things will make your footage look the best it can.

Yeah I just bidded on a cx130 on ebay used like new for only $200 and free shipping, comes with everything, so should be pretty sweet, glad to have a camera finally, i'll start saving up for a expensive canon in a year or so

Dude don't buy anything that only films interlaced footage. It's not for filming things like scooter riding. It will make it look super choppy.Trust me you don't want interlaced footage.
And anything that records in AVCHD is really hard to render and takes a long ass time.
