Spending a year in US and A

So, by the end of august 2013 i will be done doing my volunteering year. After that i wanted to spend some time in the USA. But i dont want to live with a family which has got nothing in common with me, so i thought it could be a good idea to ask here if anyone is interested in doing something like that.
Some facts about me:
I'm 18 years old ( turn 19 in september,2013)
been riding scooters for about 5 years now
