you dont know how bad i cringe when i think about splinters.
my friend joey was being retarded a while back and decided to play slip and slide on a wooden picnic table........he got a 4in / 10cm splinter about as thick as a pencil in his foot. i went with him to the hospital and watched as the cut it out with a scalpel.
