suckthedick tour. jonny ruined emarosa.
i used to be with you 100% on this, until i went and saw this tour.

1. mice and men/of machines were awful.
2. dance gavin dance was pretty mediocre, they played a shitty set list, and i mean shitty, but overall they did good.
3. jonny learned how to scream, he also learned how to play their old music, and emarosa was fucking good. i saw them with lower definition like 6 months ago and it was one of the worst shows i've ever been to. honestly, i think emarosa killed dance gavin dance in this tour.

oh yeah, horse the band was also playing the other side of the wall at the venue this took place at, and they started right as dance gavin dance ended. fucking AWESOME, i got the shit beat out of me in birdo.

saw the show both tuesday and thursday night:

tuesday:

of machines - sorta liked
tides of man - meh didn't really do it for me
mice and men - didn't like them too much, but had the crowd way into it so it made it enjoyable
emarosa - really good, better than when i saw them last time. no real complaints
dance gavin dance (headlining this date) - ugh. left this show thinking they needed to chill out on the drugs, they all weren't really there... and it just didn't sound right i guess.

thursday (cleveland)

of machines - really liked them, 1st or 2nd favorite of the night.
tides of man - same response as before, didn't really like
mice and men - really huge crowdpleaser, liked them more than before.
dance gavin dance - UGH. we realize you guys are all drug addicts but can you wait till after the show. you could tell kurt was just out of it and same thing with that zac dude. will was doing pretty good but i was to the left so i couldnt hear his shit much. kurt referenced a few different drugs on stage like acting out, as well as speaking it over the mic. pot, heroin, and cocaine to give a short list. Was fucking stupid, i really did not like that set.
Emarosa (headlining this date) - Really good again, but at this date the crowd getting so into it got annoying, you could hear all these people screaming the lyrics over him and it sounded pretty bad haha. good stage presence and stuff.

Overall, I'm glad I went to both, but unless dance gavin dance lays off drugs a bit, i don't see them staying too high in my favorite bands list.
