Squint scooter bars

I have a madd base edition 2011 and the bars keep going squint(out of line with the front wheel) every 5 minutes... I have tried taking the clamp off, straightening the wheel and putting the bars back on about 50 times but it just keeps happening again...

put some tape over your forks and hammer your bars on then clamp it tight, or cut your slit bigger

slit always has to be bigger than your clamp, most complete scooter even have it wrong but once you do that you can tell the difference

This always happened to me when I had a madd. Take the plunge and get an aftermarket clamp

Can't say about the Fork Tube being too small but a lot of times the Clamp itself just needs some grease.

Get some white lithium grease and grease up the bolts on the clamp:

Most of all the clamps are made from Aluminum and the bolts are steel and since Aluminum is softer than steel the bolts tend to Bind up in the threads before actually tightening the clamp all the way.

It feels like it is tightening because it gets harder to tighten since it is binding in the threads.

If you don't have any grease at home in the geerage, grab some cooking oil from your Mom and put a drop or two on the bolt. It will work for now until you can pick up some White lithium grease. It is only a couple bucks at a hardware store or Auto parts store.

You're slit is to small when I won my vx2 team scooter the slot was way to small I used my dads scew gun and angle grinder to make the slit biger you use a drill And drill a hole at top section of slit then use a angle gring and cut the slit biger and there you go
