we really need to clean this whole forum up, it's a huge problem having 80 of the same exact threads with noobs asking the same question, and 99% of the people who reply just say liek "NOOB SEARCH" or "noob LOL THATS GOING IN MY SIG"

ok so the noob searches, and instead he finds 20 different other threads with the same question but everyone saying NOOB SEARCH
and they get no help at all

i think it would make some room, and really help the noobs who actually DO search if the mods or somebody (i'd do it and theres others who would too) just deleted all the threads that hhave literally no helpful advice at all or are just stupid because the noobs search and they get stupid fucked threads

or the locked threads that don't really need to exist anymore

ok, how about we start cleaning up starting from yourself.

If you want participate in cleaning up the SR, then give some constructive critisism not some BS that everybody (including the admins) already know about for a long time.

And second, you should know that this thread should be in the Site section, not in General Discussion of the scootering scene.

And third, as you may have noticed, there was lately a thread about applying for a moderator positition, so there will be some new moderators for diffirent sections around this place soon enough.

And for those who say "search you noob" etc, they should really think about if they want to stay on SR or not, because this kind of bullsh*t is not tolerated. It's Scooter RESOURCE and if somebody asks for help, then you should offer some help or give advice how to get to the answer faster. Better yet, those newbies who are asking for help, should defenetaly start reading stickies and search before they post.

1- im starting to try and be alot more helpful and not an annoying fuck on this site anymore cause i know i got on alot of peoples nerves so all i'm trying to be is helpful lately

2- if it was in the site section nobody would read it because not alot of people go in there

3- with the new moderators, great they'll be able to help keep the amount of noob posting down but i'm talking about all the OLD threads that literally nobody even touches and they're full of useless "noob stop posting here" or "noob lol!" posts. start deleting the threads that DONT help and help clean it up alittle, maybe make some stickys and start getting organized. im starting to go on skate perception alot and they've really got their shit together with stickys ]

yeah.. we do. you just dont ever notice because they are deleted.

we mods have to follow a set of rules too. we cant just ban people, we have to issue warnings ect.
i dont know what your complaining about, the site is alot better lately than it has being in the past 12 months imo. more mods are being appointed shortly so soon it will be even more cleaner.

example (tech is dead) why would you not lock that immediately
pretty sure a 10 year old would know that all that thread is going to do is start arguements

You want the forum cleaner? then how about you guys who have being on the site for awhile lead by example. such as that post above me. you complain about stupid posts and threads well what is that post above me? would you like me to ban you for posting something irrelevant to the thread? do you think that's fair?

the tech is dead thread doesn't need to be closed. its someone posting there opinion. there's nothing wrong with an argument as long as people don't act like idiots and keep it civil.

in that thread the kid asked a question, and then every reply was completely irrelevant to the question and it wasn't answered, for these kinds of threads, someone should answer the question, then a mod should lock it so we can't have any 2 year bumps by a newcomer

theres like hundreds of those kinds of threads, and when you get all these commonly asked questions, make a whole entire thread either linking to threads that already have the answer OR just make a thread and just answer the questions in the main post, if the thread pops up again because of another random noob, (again the PM system would help here) delete the thread and PM them the link to that mega thread with all the answers

honestly if i had the "mod power" to delete threads i would really try and clean shit up say even on a night when youre not doing anything for a while just fucking clean some shit up and it'll be really clean in the end
