Most people went onto the ride wire since this site was down for like a month or longer. Some have come back but a lot are staying on trw. I'm sure many Sr members that didn't switch to trw don't even know its back up

People will probably start using it again, I think its a lot better now too. I never really saw that many people on TRW anyways.

TRW's modding is ridiculous, and is full of phoenix shills. I'd rather deal will the few proto shills on SR than the fancy Phoenix press release site TRW was.

Time will tell. We experienced an extended period of downtime getting this placed put back together so it will undoubtedly take time to pick up steam again and that wasn't the first time that has happened either and it lives on. We still have a lot more plans for SR in the works beyond just a message board that should get some traction in here. The sport isn't dead so we can only grow from this point forward. Just spread the word and glad to see people trickling back!

i honestly wish the trw never came back. no offense to chris or anything. trw is really cool, but there really is no benefits to having two forums. it just seems to split people apart into groups, instead of bringing the whole community together.

without trw we would have been left in the dark during the downtime, so I'm glad chris brought it back. Besides you know everyone will come back here eventually

Is it possible to be left in the dark these days with social media? Facebook? Groups? Pages? Instagram? Snapchat? Vine? Blogspot? Tumblr? In a sense message boards and forums are kind of old school in this modern age of technology which is why SR is gearing up to be a lot more than just a message board to stay relevant in the future of the industry, the internet and society. Fortunately for you guys I'm a fan of old school so the forum isn't going anywhere. ;)

The demographic has almost completely changed since I first got here. People are still finding this site.

Give it time, we'll get back a vibrant community.

Andrew hit the nail on the head. It's nearly impossible to be left in the dark these days. SR has been serving this community since near the beginning. Forums are a VERY outdated way of communicating. I've seen facebook groups get way more traffic and engagement than TRW and SR combined right now. It's far easier to have your experience integrate with the hubs you are using everyday. As you can see on SR and TRW, Facebook buttons and even sign in on TRW help to keep users connected.

Someone above mentioned that TRW helped to divide the community. I can see how and why that can be true. SR's recent upgrade wasn't due to the fact that TRW spring up. I know that Andrew had plans to renovate the Scooter Resource in 2013. The downtime was surely needed. Now before this downtime SR suffered terrible bouts with spam and all kinds of irritants that upset a lot of the community. I saw this and stepped in the bring TRW back. I stated from day 1 that I didn't want to divide the community nor have it a pissing contest. I want TRW to remain a message board with lite social media integration. That's it.

Someone else mentioned TRW showing a lot of support for Phoenix. This is true. I personally support Phoenix, big time. It's a company and a brand I have a lot of personal investment into. Not only have I ridden for the team but worked in house in Oregon with them. Being this intimate with a company allows me access to the inner workings. From this I have been to discern that Phoenix is out to make high quality products. After all, Phoenix made the first high quality scooter deck. TSI made the first consumer deck that didn't fold but the quality wasn't all there. Phoenix set a standard that is still being chased today. So yea, there is support for phoenix on the Ride Wire. The Ride Wire WILL support ANY brand that sets high levels of stanard. Brands that include(and need more support on the forums) Tilt, Proto, TSI(TSI has been stepping up their game, Good Job Matt!), Ethic DTC.

If you want any community to not just survive but to thrive then you need to support them to the fullest. Get your friends on here and spread the work through the social media networks mentioned by Andrew above. This goes for companies too.
