Sr Fork compression

Hey, I'm gunna be buying a threadless SR fork, and I was wondering, as he doesn't have the compression starnut thing, can you use one from a headset?
If not, what can I use as a replacement?

If you have stock bars then yes the starnut that comes with your headset will work
If you have 1 piece you will have to go out and find an oversized 1 1/4" starnut (very hard to find)
Or you can get an Oversized starnut from Wee (Very expensive (Because Of Shipping) )

okay, thanks. but what if the one piece bars were aluminium, and had the same inner diameter of stock bars, and were only just heavier?

Would this not work?

edit: also, what is it about it that wouldn't work?

well you know how when you clamp the stock bars on the fork the stem gets smaller up to where the t-tube is ?
Well thats where the starnut goes, into the smaller part of the bars.
But 1 peice bars dont get smaller so you need an oversized starnut

you will have to buy the one from SR. unless you can find them somewhere else.
