Thats how I think of it. I prefer SR over TRW, but I admit that I sometimes lurk TRW. I don't know why, but theirs something about TRW that I don't like. And I may come off as a dick on here, But when you actually meet me Im really nice.

I post on both, I don't care. I'm just trying to help people. The problem with TRW and SR is that everyone argues over opinionated things. Some people think one company is the best, others think a different company is. BANG, arguments start. People need to relax, chill, and just try to help each other instead of being some s00p3r c00l @55h0le 0v3r th3 1nt3rw3bz.

I have to say TRW has the quality SR doesn't, and SR has the quantity TRW doesn't.

Here is how I feel.
SR was pretty good when i signed up in march of 09. There were a decent amount of updates huge amounts of posts and loads of easily accesible information to help with general scooter problems, I still reference the scooter modding super thread from time to time. As time wore on alot of things started to go down hill. The mods were becoming fewer and fewe,r POTW, COTW, and SOTM all but dissappeared for quite a long time and Andrew went to australia, I'm assuming thet there wasnt alot of preplaning done before he left. During this time multiple mods and admins stepped down leaving the site to pretty much fend for its self and the few mods that were around were becoming fed up withthe amount of work they were left with. This lead to a site full of multiple threads about the same subject, constant arguments and flamewars. Also scootering was becming more poplular during this time so the influx of newer and younger riders posting rediculous things basically ruind it for me.
When TRW popped up it was like a breath of fresh air. It was a fres forum with active mods and a knowedable veteran user base. Questions were answered quickly with virtually no arguments. There was an active COTW and POTW, and semi regular fronpage updates. there was also the facebook style chat for a bit wich was a grat way to communicate quickly with a specific person for quick qustions. But again as time wore on the user base got larger and more and more arguments started happening. I check both regularly and have the same problems with both sites.
most of it has to do with immature responses, selfishness, and an almost complete and total lack of respect for other peoples opinions.

I like both. I guess SR a little better since I'm admin and have power haha. Otherwise I don't see how two forums so similar could be so drastically "better" or "worse" with open registration. If out was restricted, pushit I'm looking at you, then I could see a "better" forum coming out of it.

Thanks you matt. I was trying to say that but didnt know how to word it. Nothing can be different if anyone can just come on and join.

Ralph, I agree. I made a TRW account, made one post, and just cause i was new no one acknowledged the post and got called a noob... Im never offended when i see the word noob because everyones gotta start some where, but Ive been on here since 07 and riding since probably 05-ish. But that brings your point about this feeling more like a family, I post there and get bitched at for dumb stuff. A JOIN DATE IS NOT THE SAME AS THE DATE THAT YOU STARTED RIDING!

Jare, I see where youre coming from but think of it this way. Respect is a give and take thing, you give it and you then you get it. Just saying "idgaf" contributes to the negativity of these sites lately. Im not putting you donw in anyway, im just saying dont let the "idgaf" show through your posts.

well I loved TRW until today, JoshToy one of the admins just threatened to ban me because I was hating on razor, another admin said (quote) "You seem to be sucking districts dick pretty hard" and I called him an -------- then some how me disliking razor for the injuries their products have caused me is considered "negativity that is bannable", Just because I dont like razor... I cant say it on there so ill say it here, Fuck Joshtoy and fuck Tom K., come to me after seeing your ankle bone, breaking your wrist, twisting your ankle 3+ times and gashing your knee all due to product malfunctions and tell me its wrong to hate on razor products

You're an idiot. You're probably still angry at me because I compared you to Dylan Kasson. (which was funny imo)

The reason I was a "douche bag" on TRW was because I gave less than a shit about what people wanted to hear. If I didn't like something I was very vocal about it. If being painfully honest is "douchebaggery" then feel free to enjoy your little forum where all you hear is what you want to hear, negativity is censored, people are banned for speaking their minds truthfully. I'll be over here in reality where we don't ban people for speaking their true thoughts, negative reviews (TRW calls that "bashing" if you simply don't like something). I do the same here (just.. slightly giving a tiny shit.. like a pebble). Why should I post all happy go lucky about a product I don't like? If I shat on your car, would you say "well, now it won't get stolen! No one would steal a car with poo on it." Hell no. You'd probably kick my ass. If I break something faster than normal (I.e. lucky wheel) and I post disdainfully about my experiences with said wheel, should I be banned? Is that even fair?

I don't doubt it at all. Josh Toy locked a review on Inward forks because "they broke too quickly, and must've been defective (not exact)" Seriously. That's like if Brian Murphy broke something and reviewed it it wouldn't be a good review because Brian broke it. Since he breaks everything.

I was banned for pointing out how backwards and hypocritical their "mature" section is, and "being a douche bag" I guess. Oh, and pissing off Brian Boston, lolol
