Starnut Alternative?

no it wouldnt there is nothing to grip the iside of the stearing colmn it works differently on a biek the star nut goes inside the fork on a bike

that doesnt matter its a wedge so as you tighten it it expands

and a bike fork and handle bars are the same thing both a are tubing a bike fork is 1 1/8 just a regular tube welded to the fork legs and stock bars are 1 1/8 the same exact thing as a bike fork nothing specail about either of them, the wedge also has the little dimples on the out side to give it more grip, so pretty much its a easy to remove starnut you just dont know what size bolt threads into it

oh jeez this looks sooooo much easier than a regular starnut
too bad it will only work for stock bars : /
if they made a 1 1/4 one that would be awesome

You wouldn't be able to see it.

And the bolt would be way too short, it wouldn't reach all the way from the bottom of the fork to the wedge thing, and the bolt would be too thick, too.
