starnut help

I have a inward .120 extreme fork.the guy i bought it from ran scs I guess because there is a starnut in the fork. I want to run ics but i need to get the starnut out of the fork.any tips will help.

my friend had the same problem. get a drill bit slightly larger than the hole in the starnut and drill through it

just hammer it till it comes out the bottom, there is no need for a drill at all...

Take a bolt that fits the star nut screw it in and then use a hammer to hit it out

u cant do that...theres a washer in the bottom of inward forks

i could use tuc's idea but upside down. so it would hit it out from the bottom maybe?

I don't suggest hitting it out from the bottom upwards, just drill it out. I used this guide on my fid fork and it worked wonders: http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?p=1189999s
