Starnut too Deep + Bars too tight on fork.

I had gotten a pair of wee bars with the starnut installed, and the starnut is just barely too deep. Is there anything I can do? Can I just push the starnut deeper and get a new one and use it? Also, the bars are impossible to push on to the fork. I have the forks viced down and I'm twisting the bars down as hard as I can, but there is no way they'll go all the way. So far, V.3 Wee bars have been a huge hassle, and for $130, it's no what I was expecting.

Umm... Try cutting the slits on the side of the bars a little bit longer and wider if possible. That should take care of the fork problem.

And for the starnut, I would just get a longer bolt or jam the old starnut up and install a new one.

The best thing to do is get that starnut up higher and install a new one. Your bars arnt going down all the way cause your fork is probably hitting the starnut in the bars.
Problem solved.

The bars not going down has nothing to do with the star nut. If the bolt can't reach it, then obviously the fork can't either.

do your bars have a little lip on the bottom, from being cut. cause my friends one pieces had a little lip from being cut with a pipe cutter and they wouldnt fit on. we just sanded them down a bit and they fit like a charm

What kind of headset are you using? Because that starnut i installed for you is not deep for me at all, because my headset is hella tall. Did you pounded it deeper?

And, try to sand your v3s in the tube a bit. The ones who got them earlier are all experiencing tuff installing onto forks, but i already have a solution for the newer production ones :)

I'm using a Solid Bikes Headset and no, I didn't pound it. I'm gonna try and rat tail file it tonight.

Triangles? w/e, i use gussets. Diagonal supports are out since october.

and send me an e-mail (preferrably from the original mailbox that you were using on your previous account)

demo, i think ur lying about everything why would u put triangle gussets on wee bars even if they are v2's there not gonna bend

and when u do sand the bars down put some grease all over the threadless area of the forks that what i did with mine and it helps u slide them on and off so yea

Just cut your bars down a little, happened to me when i used like one pieces and all that shit and i just cut them like 1/4 an inch and it reached, and if it doesn't screw in like through the other side of the starnut, just put on some lock tite on the threads.
