Stitches

5 days ago I got 3 stitches in my hand.

It's on top of my index finger, and I was wondering if riding could harm this at all?

I really want to ride, but i dont want to re-open it

fine, does scooting put much stress on that part of the body.

if you grip really tight on the bars, or if that part of your finger is on the grip, chances are they'll get ripped open, idk though.

just wait untill you get them taken out, trust me its gonna suck if you re-open it
