Recently i trialed using thick PVC piping used for heavy duty conduit where i work. It was a little bendy and was ultra light but only lasted two days (of hard riding) before it broke. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried using PVC, or if other strange materials have been used for handlebars?

Any response would be appreciated

Like its def not common.
Stainless steel.
Magnesium.
PVC sounds painful :|.

chromo isnt uncommon, its expensive to make therefore only used in high grade products.

stainless is heavy compared to aluminum/chromo, and is also super expensive.

magnesium is rare and also extremly expensive.

usually PVC snaps suddenly without warning, meaning if it snaps as your landing hard, whats left of your handlebars could rearange your face
