how are we posers of skaters in bikers, we are just riding? not copying them at all, street is where i get style, the very little i have, but honestly you can be great and ride park, and have no style at all, except for a few people, overall i just dont like watching park, its same old stuff

I agree. Street makes it look more creative an in my opinon, a lot of vert gets boring. With street, everything's different and just looks better. Also, I agree that it makes the person look better on a video....good topic!
why does this need to continually get brought up its tough because alot of the people on here cant drive and getting a ride to a skatepark is sometimes easier then getting their parents to let them take a bus to a big city so they can ride some good spots. i live in a small town, there is 1 4 foot ledge, 1 2 foot ledge, a big 5 set, and a skatepark. so i ride the skatepark for most of the time because its more fun. if i had more street near me id ride street more, but alot of the time its just on what your near. you can always find something to ride, but if you dont have much, its tough. i like street because you can really get creative with things. you can do similar in park though. i like people that ride both. coedie for example. i think people should work on being well rounded.

gtfo. you can get so much more creative with street riding, park is limited. You can find everything in a park somewhere on the street, and just because its street its like 1000x better. Street isn't limited to stairs and handrails, watch the tpc video journals, theres way more than stairs in our vids.erik said:

like at that hunt park competition which was gay as hell i was the only person using that giant ledge and handrail and stairs lol
idk thier both equal in my mind but most of the time when im at a sk8park im riding the street section n e ways lol

I love riding street...
Last few days I rode just street...went yesterday to my local skatepark and everything was so much easyer...
And yeah, I get bored at the skatepark so much faster then on the street...

all the threads on here come up like every 2-3 weeks then everybody says the same

I rode the best St.Petersburg skatepark yesterday... Well... Now I can tell, that I won't change my sig EVER (street-only-rider). I felt myself so limited and my riding wuz so unstylish! It was very boring...
Street looks more natural. Lines on street seem in thousand times better than park ones. Same goes about fakies. Plus U get more respect from other extreme sportsmen when you ride street.
My conclusion: PArk is for practising of what you can really do on street. Unless you are good at flips and 360/540/720 combos.

the excuse that you're not old enough to drive to find street spots is dumb, if I can find spots in an IOWAN!! (if you know where that is) town of 3,800 then I am SURE that you could find something. Just because your town doesn't have any 10 sets doesn't mean that there isn't any other street spots. I have like 2 manny pads, 3/4/5/7/8 sets, a loading dock, 2 drops, little grass gap, big grass gap, ledge, several banks, and not to mention countless curbs. If i can find all that then i'm sure you could find something. You just have to look a little.
