Strongest Slit

sorry if in the wrong section.
I'm going to be trying out hic soon, and I wanted to know what size slit would be the strongest. I'm thinking a 1.5" or shorter slit would be strongest, but let me know what you guys think.
btw i'm aware scs is stronger, so dont say ride scs.

Just make sure you put a drill stop at the top to prevent it from cracking.

by drill stop you mean like just drill a hole at the top of the slit right?

it depends on the size of your clamp, it must be bigger than the clamp to be effective. i hope for your sake you have a long HIC shim. thats if you get something like a half knuck or similar size. the hole isnt a big deal but having a slit thats 4-8mm thick is a help and lining the slit of the HIC shim with the bar slit is very helpful incase of the bars seizing on the shim.
