Id like to share with you my first reinforcement to my forks, the threads on the forks where very thin and easily got dinted,i made this reinforcment out of 7/8 steel bar and its thirty centimetres long so it protrudes quite a bit, here are some pictures:
This has all been part of my bad to good project, making a shitty scooter into a ok one that will last me until christmas, the total cost was 20 quid:
£10 for the scooter
£3 for the wheels
£7 quid for the ceramic bearings
Other parts i already had lying around
I modded the bars so the tubing that the grips are on is 1 piece and is kept in place by 2 bolts(see pictures)
Therefore making it a 2 piece bar
All the folding mechanism has been industrially threadlocked so it wont budge, quick release on the bar has been replaced with a M6 nut and bolt
