well, i saw the like 1979 version in music class a few years ago. i thought the plot was good but it was like a broadway obviously so there was going to be singing... which i didnt think helped it or whatever. I was under the impression that this was going to have the plot of the first movie but a lot less singing, and maybe they would elaborate on the plot more. But, this movie literally is the same thing as the first movie, but with johnny depp haha. all the scenes go in the same order, and they all happen pretty much the same exact way as the first thing, its literally just re-made.
