so a bunch of awesome cd's just came out or are coming out soon, here's my advice on a couple to go purchase at your local record store.
between the buried and me - colors
probably the best metal album i've ever heard. shit's epic. if you like metal at all check this out.
thrice - the alchemy index volumes I & II
so thrice is wrote 4 albums at once. well the first 2 just came out, and theres 6 songs on each, so 12 toal, just like a normal cd. vol I is fire. normal thrice sound, but all the tracks are amazing, i love it. vol II is water. totally different. barely any guitar, almost all electronic, mellow, and really good.
coheed and cambria - no world for tomorrow
if you liked the last cd, you'll probably like this since its a progression since the last one. songs don't have that same fast pace most coheed songs do, but theres alot more solo's and noodling thrown in. nothing too great, but a couple really good songs.
say anything - in defense of the genre
double disc. sames say anything, nothing too differnet. 27 songs, so obviously they aren't all spectacular, but theres some songs that definitely standout, so its definitely worth getting if you're into that kind of music.
iron and wine - the sheperds dog
i don't know how many of you are into the acoustic/folk stuff, but if you are this is such a great cd.
also, that postal service song you all love, such great heights, is a cover. the original was an iron and wine song. so if you like the postal service definitely check this out.
aesop rock - none shall pass
new cd from one of the best guys in underground hiphop. if you like hiphop at all definitely grab this.
besides that, saves the day's new album comes out in 2 weeks, im pretty excited for that. and if you haven't already got them, go find august burns red new album messengers against me's new album new wave. both awesome cds.
