Its probably cause of the weather... In our street theres only 2 people who do not own pools, but in New Zealand if you had a pool you were a fuckin' moron cause theres only a few days you can accually use it.

Beaches arent crowded when theres beach surrounding half the town. Theres no actual diving boards but heaps of stuff to jump off into the ocean. And no, sadly you cannot heat the ocean, but if your that wimpy then you can always wear a wetsuit.

+ Ocean isnt full of pee, just deadly animals. Also you can snorkel at places.

if your pool is chlorine, it kills the germs in it so pee isnt an issue..and the ocean has fish piss and shit all over it, ive even seen people take a shit in the ocean. And you can snorkel in your pool too, just wont see anything worth seeing
