SZ HIC Clamp Vs Regular HIC

The sz one is just a clamp. For hic you need a kit and a clamp.

They have it as a Kit:
"This clamp comes with all of the HIC Hardware. The Oversized Clamp and Shim are all built into one. This makes the assembly of everything super easy since its a 1 piece unit. The Pro Comp HIC Clamp is the only one of its kind. Its heat treated and polished with a shiny anodized finish. You cant find anything similar in any other store but here."

^ those are good because they're all one piece but if you break your bars using that your screwed....

Just curious... how so?

Just remove the bolts and feed them through the other side, put a quarter, nickel in the slot and stretch the clamp out so the broken piece can be removed

No???

Haven't seen the clamp in person so just a guess on getting the broken piece out.

Oh, I didn't think of stretching it but yes that was what I was talking about. the bottom part of the bars usually gets stuck when they snap.

so the shim is like part of the clmp? i dont see how that would work bcause what would the shim be holding onto? since the bars have to fit in between them

i still dont see how that works, if there are welds in the way then how do the bars slide in between?

I like the SZ clamp better because for $40 your getting clamp and compression, while if you want a high quality clamp like the SZ one your paying 40 to begin with.

a clamp is a clamp, i personally don't think quality varies that much. the only thing that varies is the bolts, and you replace them abnyway
