T-Bars width?

hey everybody, so i'm considering making bar extenders for my razor T-bars (18 W) and i want to know what you guys think is the best width for T bars. (Now i know it's a matter of preference, but i'd like to get a feel of different widths.)

Out of 18 20 22 (the sizes I have had) 20 has been my favorite by far.

I love my 22 heptrons, but I feel like any more than 20 on razor bars

LOL. How did you work that out?

He is using ghetto dowels put in the ends of his bars and if they are any bigger than an inch on each side..they will break quite easily.

I created the dowel method and ive tried extending both sides from a minimum or 1 and a maximum of 3 inches on each side.. you really dont want to add more than 1.5 inches because if its any longer than the dowel will wear down after a while

What size dowel should i use? i have the bar extenders ready and they're both 1.3 inches long. (20 wide here i come)
