talent story:
after riding at the waterfront for a while we decide to go check to see if talent might let us ride. Lately every time weve called they said no right off and said it was too busy. when we got there i counted 14 people in the skatepark. tyler went up to the counter and asked and this one employee that has had a problem with us forever immediately butted in and said its too busy. i went up to him and asked what exactly does "too busy" mean, because weve been let in when there were 30+ people on PLENTY of occasions. he said to stop calling "every day", its a SKATEpark, go ride our scooters at the outdoor parks or something. we all kind of bitched back and forth with the guy for a little longer and then left. i came back in to try to get the owner's last name so i could get her number and call her up to talk to her about it all and he refused to give it to me, so i found it on a newspaper clipping hanging in the shop. we went outside and set up my kicker (tyler brought it in his truck) in the side of the parking lot opposite talent (its connected to some abandoned building's parking lot. and within 20 minutes a cop pulls in, tells us the people at talent dont want us there, we said we werent on their property and had permission from the owners of that side of the parking lot to be there, he was like "Alright, i dont see what the big deal is, it doenst look to me like your doing anything wrong, so as long as you stay on this side of the parking lot youll be fine" and left, which was hilarious to me, because here that assholes probably sitting inside watching us ride, calls the cop thinking problem solved, only for the cop to leave and say were allowed to ride there<3. so we go on riding (keep in mind we HAVENT stepped foot on talents side of the parking lot) another cop shows up, we say we already worked things out with the other cop and she said that she got another call AFTER that cop, so she had the guy come out and he was "unaware" that the area we were on wasnt owned by talent, she (the cop) told him off and he went back in. she gave us tresspassing things just to humor the guy and said that she doesnt see waht were doing wrong, i explained the entire situation to her and she thought it was a load of shit and said that as long as we have permission from the guy that owns that part of the lot and as long as we dont go past the yellow line in the middle of the parking lot, well be fine.
basically, talent has a few really lame employees, some cops are awesome, and i will definitely be calling hannah very soon to see whats really up
