teams and crews

i'm starting to think they are overratted. like ASC i mean its like everyone wants to be on it and so foucsed on that.
what are you thoughts about teams and crews???

Lol, are you just saying this because you got kicked off ASC? Little kids will always be focused on getting on teams and such when they first start, I know I posted a thread when I was a noob looking for teams.

Even so, the point of "crews" is just to have a bunch of guys who ride together. It's not like you're exclusive to them and you can't ride with anyone else. You're not under contract with the team.

I just ride with my freinds, no point in making a team unless your going to take it too the point of making a buisness out of it or trying to get sponserd by a skate shop or something stupid.

I think people do it just to say "Yeah I ride for (whatever team)" If the name isn't sucky then people think the person is good because they're sponsored. A crew is more like a group of people that just chill and ride together. A team is a crew that makes bars. Thats pretty much the truth.

yeah i got kicked off asc but i wasn't even on it in the first place, all i didn't was take pictures and film them, and i still will.

i just met that some crews and teams kinda cause shit with each other and takes the fun out of scootering

teams are pretty much dumb, they never go anywhere. crews, however, are just a group of friends who ride together, and maybe make some shirts. i wish i had a crew :(

there isnt much of a difference between teams or crews, they are both just a way of getting together to have fun on your scooties.

you cant be a company or buisness, unless you go through the legal garbage to become one, so calling your team or crew that is pointless.

i think teams are a great thing because it motivates alot of people, and you get to hangout with some of your fellow riders.

but i do hate how some teams will get competitive though, that part is stupid. We should be doing as much as we can to get the sport as big as we can before trying to gain hype for our own teams and crews first.
I'm not saying that promoting your team in a positive way is bad, but putting other teams down so yours will look better is only going to cause problems for us all in the long run because of the tension between teams it creates.

I did the same thing.
Looking for ridders in my area to ride with to make the sport bigger like John said.
It's something we all need to do our part in.
