tech vs. style

some of you techy kids or the ones with like the quint whips are crazy! you do the trick but sometimes the steeze just aint there. the guys who just ride and focus on making stuff look fun and/or easy are really progressing the sport. the insano age is still there but i think once you start getting the tricks done start perfecting them and give yourself a style. kc is a good example cause he rides real smooth but he still can double scooterflip triple fingerwhip manual stuff. Madis's sig is True.
But i still think you should try to style your tricks, and also add some tech tricks to your collection.

Tech and style are 2 different things... i think you mean big tricks and not tech. And yeah people need to work on their style with bigger tricks. Kc isn't that great of an example though, alot of people on here think is style is gross since hes so stiff.

I can't think of a way to describe my riding now. I do hardly any new tricks and combos (partially because of lack of a good flybox/flyout spot and having a heavy scooter, it's still my choice how I ride though), but as of right now I think I can all sorts of simple stuff (grabs, whips and doubles, barspins, 360s etc) over stairs up to 7, funboxes, park transfers, spines, qp airs etc, more or less consistantly, with some minor exceptions though. I guess that's just 'being yourself', lol.

i disagree with them about that. His overall clenliness with his tricks and just being really smooth about everthing i think gives him great style.

lol idk, i used to love his style but he rides weird now, like what bri said, kind of stiff. he like crouches down so his body is straight up and down and idk..not to mention, boner flips dont score too highly in my book

I dunno if he just has a big butt or what, but his butt is allways out... me Casey and Mike tend to have fun riding and messing around doing tricks like that, all in good fun though :)

i personally feel this is a pointless thread...you talk about other riders and how everyones different style does and does not affect you, but how do you ride...and who cares, everyone rides the way they want...i dont give a shit if someone says i ride like a goof or if i land clean on EVERYTHING. its scootering, we all love it.
