Testing my new bar setup

I was waiting for someone to put BMX bars onto buffs, so i could say: that's a little stupid and unnecessary idea.
- Since BUFF's crossbar is chromoly and bmx bars are chromoly too, then they are both same durable.
- why put a heavier bar in front if you get the same strenght with a regular crossbar but lighter.
- bmx bars have backsweep, idn if that is bad or good because the ends of the bar aren't parallelled with the whole steertube.

Nice riding tho.

those are the gayest bars i have ever seen and your a lil rich kid.

We don't have a gay scooter problem at San Clemente, thanks to Twan, John R, Dustin and Kenny. There are at least 30 other kids that scooter there. Yesterday I had at least 15 kids other than scooters wanting to try my scooter, no one thought it was gay. I was at the X Games last week and I didn't see one BMX riders with straight Razor type bars, I wondered why. We are trying to do the same tricks they are. My Buff steering tube was at least 1" short, because I'm getting taller, so I already have to get a new one, so I had my dad whack it off. I didn't post the video for anyone else to switch, I love to scooter, I do it hours and hours everyday and someday I would like to be the best at it, I tried it for me and my new tricks. And I'm not a lil rich kid, I bought my Buffs with my own money I save last year. My mom and dad just support what I do, and if you were here and needed a ride to the park or were hungry or broke something they would help you out in a second. And I could triple whip at 9 years old so I really never had that gay problem you keep talking about. Kota

Dude, if those bars are better for you, then keep riding them. I don't think it's ugly or a bad idea. It's just different, but whatever works for you, is what you should do. And sick video too.

Hahaha, I'm still lol'ing as I'm typing this.

If you want backsweep on your bars you can get some mountain bike bars with little rise or some Goped flat bars that also have backsweep. You said you didn't see any bmx riders at the X-games with straight Razor bars? No shit Sherlock, they'd be bending way down and straight bars 26" wide probably wouldn't be too strong.

i did that yesterday but the bars had a tube coming down that fit into the steertube and so i could change the bars all the time. but yeh its fun but bit stupid to do it on buffs.

Alex you missed what I meant. All I was talking about was the shape of the bars, straight or backsweep. Not the strength or height. Some BMXers are doing tricks with bars that are not straight. My steering tube was already short for my height and the only person I know that could use it at that height was my little sister. So I cut it up. If you live in Arizona come over the the SC Demo. Ehh, I guess that it's pretty nice. I haven't seen anyone do it, but I guess that 20" straight bars would be rather easy to break on impact, because of the huge width. A Bmx bar seems all right for a wide bar setup, even though I don't think that it would be worth to spend huge cash on a bmx bar if you can just go to a metal warehouse and get a steel pipe for like nothing, haha.
