The 2011 National Defense Authorization Act

I didn't see any threads on this.

So apparently today the Senate passed a new act which basically takes away the Bill of Rights. From what I've read, it basically declared America a "battleground", allows people to be locked up without trial, takes away freedom of speech to an extent, and even allows soldiers to torture/kill American citizens on our own land.

These articles are most likely biased but still sounds kinda fucked up.

Not much about this has been on the news, and I can't really understand why.

Discuss?

Time to go to canada as a refugee.

My home is open to any refugees.
My uncle lives on this mountain road where some US hippy refugees moved because they didnt like the states, pretty cool how they basically made the mountain town because they wanted to keep smoking weed and living free.

But yeah, on topic. This seems pretty ------- Stephen Harper tried to pass something like this for Canada, but the bill was rejected thank fuck.

So i was just thinking, and it hit me, this gives the military the right to attack the U.S. They could literally just start taking over the U.S. and start a military dictatorship.
So scared right now
