ok maybe im looking at this wrong, but is america even a democracy anymore?

"Democracy is generally defined as a form of government in which all adult citizens have an equal say in the decisions that affect their lives."

that effects our lives, 662 billion is a lot of fucking money, it's an actual percentage of the taxes that comes out of our pay checks, too lazy to figure out how much but im sure it's a fairly decent percentage, but i didnt get the memo that tells me when i can vote as to whether or not this budget passes?

i may just be looking at it the wrong way, but it seams like the branches of government have literally taken over all the important decision making leaving us to pretty much go along with it without a choice.

maybe i just want MORE democracy, i dunno, but this is just fucked. 662 billion is a lot of fucking money to defend ourselves from some sand people who pose so little threat to us that it's not even worth paying attention too.

We are not and never have been a full democracy, we are a representative democratic republic, and always have been.

We need a Civil War.

The government is fucking up. We keep printing money, so the value of our dollars is dropping. If the currency to buy oil internationally is changed, we're fucked. The exchange rate for USD would drop instantly. We buy oil with USD, which we just print when we need it.

Idea- If they printed MORE money and gave every legal household $1 million, it would re-stimulate the economy. Everyone could buy cars, get their houses fixed, go food shopping, and do anything else that they need to do. It's extremely possible, considering the government spends millions a month anyway.

They would be giving out money that would be backed by nothing. A dollar is worth nothing, it it worth the $1 of gold it represents, so if they just printed more money they would be causing inflation on a massive scale because $1 would be worth less so things that used to be $1 would need to be $5 or $20 whatever. Pretty much the same thing happened in Zimbabwe and even though everyone have millions of dollars, everything costed milions of dollars. But, America has already started doing this and that is why our currency is falling, because $1 becomes worth less and less. Just because we can print money doesn't mean we can just create gold, silver, and whatever other precious metals our currency is based on.

You missed my point, I clearly just said we print money that we don't have the equivalent amount of gold for which is causing the exchange rate of USD to drop. The government prints more money constantly. It was just an idea, anyway. Not saying it was perfect, lol. It would re-stimulate the economy because people would once again be able to spend money without having to worry about going bankrupt.

I generally stay out of these threads considering people always end up arguing over opinionated topics, but whatever.

Fargo is getting ready to take down the American people once the riots start....

people wonder where all the jobs are. ill tell you EXACTLY where they all went.... to foreigners and robots. we need to stop focusing on making as much money as fast as possible and slow shit down.

just look at the amount of workers in a modern assembly line....

We need a whole new system. It's not just a lack of jobs, it's a broken system we need to take care of. The more modern the system becomes the less human interaction there will need to be.
