they're good pictures, but you have to learn to take constructive criticism.

they are way oversatured, it looks unnatural. and the riders are overexposed in pretty much every picture. if it's as bright as it looks you really dont need to be using a flash. and the lens flare is pretty bad in some of them, try not to shoot directly into the sun.

ill take constructive criticism from people that actually take photos, or actually take GOOD photos.

and i hate the sun, it always gets in my way of a good angle lol. the problem was that was the only angle to really show the gap :(

and i guess i could have gone without flash, but i like flash cause it makes the rider pop out of those trees, they were kind of blending in. on jonnys tuck from the spine to pyramid i could have gone without cause he would be in the sky so there would be no need to make him pop i guess

thanks for the critique though

so john mattes is a noob now? im sure he has some idea of what hes talking about honestly...and it was his opinion
i like your pictures as i said once in this thread already but you're way too hot headed for me. oh and if you
DIDN'T get that, that's MY opinion. you really need to get your head out of your ass.

by no means was i trying to be offensive or telling you how to take pictures, all i said was they were over saturated, if you like them that is fine, dont take offense to it man

yeah they are over saturated, i agree, but i kinda like it that way haha. and of course john mattes knows what hes talking about, i guess i forgot to include i'll take criticism from good filmers (therefore im never going to listen to any criticism from andy). next time ill turn down the saturation level on my cam and see how it looks, and if i dont like it, im gonna turn it right back up, regardless of what people on this site say

and i never said john mattes was a noob... i was talking about that angeLO dude and chis bendel. chris bendel doesnt even take pictures... so i didnt understand why he thought he could critique my photos. i guess next time ill write a little disclaimer at the end of my post that i only want crtiques from people that actually take photos/film. and are good at it.

and i didnt take offense to it i was just stating MY opinion. sorry for having "my head in my ass" and being hot headed

i don't know what the settings on canons are, but try turning that saturation thing off and just shooting in regular raw. then if you want to you can just turn it up in PS, and your original image isn't oversaturated.
