I pretty much enjoy listening The Fall Of Troy, Dance Gavin Dance, Glasgow Drive, Periphery, Textures, etc. "proggy" breakdowns, but it's a shame how 90% of today's generic-core bands don't know how to compose and use breaks properly. When I hear some Asking Alexandria or Attack Attack songs I just think that these guys have no composing talent at all! Because it is much easier to play a single 0-0-0 powerchord with constant headbanging, pretending that it sounds br00tal, than to create a heavy and tasty riff. Moreover, they put these shitty breaks all over the song! I don't get how is it possible to call "music" something you can play with your right hand alone =)

why the fuck are you even in here? This thread is about posting your favorite breakdowns and discussing them, not to bag on the genre of music we listen to. Are you trying to proove something or what? your not going to change our minds on what music we listen too so get the fuck out. You dont see me going into the RAP thread and talking shit about how it sucks.

Did I deny that anywhere? This once again goes to back to provoking a response out of me, I said straight up, fuck breakdowns, and that was it, then once again, that I agreed with a that kid Jake, anything after that was a provoked response about my opinion.

i agree with evan. i respect some breakdowns, but in most songs theyre the part of the song with the least amount of talent. breakdowns are alright in some cases, but not the best part of the song.
whatever happened to the days a good fucking solo? real talent

I don't care what you think of me, I proved you wrong and my points been made, this hasn't been a personal issue. I know you were just stating your opinion, but what for? To bash on some scene scooter kid you don't know online? Just chill out and back off with the "fuck what you think" mentality.

And Jacob I think you misunderstood what I was saying; the music that accompanies rap is not always complex but with lyrics it can be great music.
