yeah lloyd i wrote this big in depth thing about how you could improve the compression thing on the fork on msn but then you signed off
anyway, here it is:
maybe instead of having a threaded hole, make the top cap thinger on the fork double thick, and keep the hole un-threaded, but then halfway through the top layer machine in a hexagon shape so that you can drop a standard nut down there and it will lock in place in the hexagon shaped slot as you tighten the compression bolt
I don't know if you understand that or not, I could draw it out maybe sometime later when I get back, but yeah, that's my idea for it, might be harder to machine that out, so if you don't want to do it that way to keep costs down, you could just keep the hole un-threaded and jb weld a nut in place right below it lol, sketchy as fuck though..
