you can say rider but really you can call anybody a rider.

I call the sport freestyle scootering, as just 'scootering' might be associated with mopeds or something (see www.scootering.com ), and 'scooter riding' is not good for me because in polish the word describing a kick scooter sounds kinda dumb, lol.
