The Fixed Gear Thread!

Haha. A kid from work had a whole stack of holos and gave me that one cause i told him i used to have one. it was teacher appreciation week.

On another note, I'm going to just have to buy a new frameset. The cotter pins got locked in there from over-tightening. The left crank is mad loose, cant tighten it.. it has some play. Long story short, in order to make everything solid I'd pay too much.

Luckily my mom has a lot of connections. She just told me that one of her friends lives right next door to Gary Fischer.. Shes gonna see what she can do.

Gary Fischer doesn't make any track frames, i also don't think that they have made any road frames either for quite some time. I don't think that will work out too well for you really.

Edit: This is Taylor, not alex, sorry.

Gary Fisher is mountain only now, but they're owned by trek, i dunno if trek makes track frames though

Sweet theres a fixed gear thread! I've been riding fixed for like 2 1/2 years and I roll with Chris fonseca and the gnarcotix crew based in the bay area. I rock an affinity pursuit.

Got an argentinean track frame, a Privitera frame.
Will recieve this week a Nitto threaded stem.
And if I manage to sell some stuff im trying to sell I'll get a campagnolo fork and a Nitto seatpost.

Sounds like your bike will be getting pretty gnarly, get some pictures of that new frame!

My bike's pretty much the same, and I've done a couple races the last two weeks, cool stuff.

Just picked this old Classic up from a mate for free. Took some of the components off, made a werid brake rig and fitted some old bars. New wheels, sprocket cranks pedals and paint it could be a piece of crap!

Still a work in Progress, I want a better seatpost and a brooks seat and I need to destroy my rear tire so I can get an all black one. Paint's in bad shape but I plan on paiting with the same scheme as the bike above, but with green instead of blue.

But its already running and its smooth.
