These were the good days! My first scooter was called a 'Swift VII' thing was awesome with suspension on the front & back haha. There's lots of Razor's being posted here, I didn't start riding Razors 'til like 04 I don't think, before then I ride JD-Bugs & 'Quickstep' scooters, here's a photo of a Quickstep: http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii183/theterryprice/quickstepscooter.jpg

Quicksteps were crazy easy to break haha I'd buy a new one every 2 weeks & throw away most parts (like brake, headset, wheels, bearings) as I'd have a fresh one in a couple weeks time as I knew they'd break! That scooter had huge grind plates on the side, I learnt to 50-50 on them they were awesome :)

Just realized how much this thread seams to be market research o_O

Oh well. I posted above about pro models, but the first ever scooter I had was a JD bug. Even came with one of those carry strap things on the front of the bars. Probably 2001-02.

Back in 2001/2 i got a Razor from germany (school trip) that rocked 115mm/120mm wheels and im pretty sure it has a beefy foldy like a pro mod/old A and good rear dropouts like a pro mod (i couldnt be sure, but i rode it fairly hard for a year or so and it never broke). It shat on everyone elses scooter at the time! it was prrriiiime! i left it to rot in my parents shed and they threw it out. was so pissed when i got back into riding that i let it go. Oh mighty brain of JD Ben, could you possibly recall this dream machine?

we used to ride old a's, old b's, and pros. but the newer a models with the steel fold mech were the shit. weld the mech, and put a aluminum plate in the deck. NEVER actually broke one <3
