Ok but really and honestly I think this much is true. the "n word" really has been watered down to just a normal word depending on how its used, or normally used in a joking matter. However, no matter how it was used it really did used to bother me. I mean normally you can't make it through one hip hop song or rap song without hearing it at least once normally. Where your coming from is legitimate but you can't take it personally every time you see it and can't stop stop everybody from saying it. It was originally a racist word, but if its not being used in a racist matter it shouldnt be a big deal. But of course when people use it all the time in all circumstances i could see it being annoying. Not many people are gonna see this thread so really I think the only thing you can do is change your attitude about it.

im on logans side with this. they can call us crackers and shit but we cant say the n word. i understand cracker may not be as racist or derogitory(sp...) w/e i dont wanna get into an arguement or get banned

ANYWAY
the word originated from latin just to mean black. it became derogatory in the last 200 years b/c so many people used it. BUT AGAIN it has been mutated, it is not as derogatory as it was 50 years ago, but if you want ASK A BLACK PERSON. ask an old black guy you can trust wont get mad at you.

i feel offended when people call me white.
cuz im not.

theyre not even saying it in a negative way so i dont understand how you take offence to it. people make fun of jews all the time but you dont see me bitchin about it. you just have to get used to it. its just how it is now and days.

I only say it to my white friends, jokingly. knowing where the history of this word came from nobody should say it, but it happens.

i'm black as i said before and if i say the 'n' word to a black friend they think of it as another word for friend and he says it to me but if a white person said it to either of us we would just flip and im confused to why this is Now i come to think about it because its like me saying that black people have more rights so i have sorta caught my self out and seen where i am going wrong with the 'N' word situation. anyway we need a posotive thread so... http://www.scooterresource.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?685629

i guess it mostly depends on the tone you say it in
over the internet you cant tell how its being used like in a offending way or a friendly way. i have black friends and when i see them i greet them by saying whud up nigggaaa
but people around me may not know its being said in a friendly way and theyre cool with me saying it.
so sorry. i will not use that word again.
