This is in response to the thread about someones friend committing suicide and it turned into a nationalism thread.


Ok, I admit, I am a little taken aback when people say USA is the greatest country in the world and offers more freedom then any other country.

From living in Canada all my life, I can not see how USA has better anything. Your crimes and gun violence stats are through the roof for gods sake. I could never feel free knowing that if I went out in a bad part of town at night I may never come back...


Freedom?

I don't know, there are many things USA has that I am more than happy Canada doesn't.

USA government is beyond slightly troubled.

9/11 doesn't have enough cold hard proof to convince something like 52% of Americans that it was Bin Laden and it was an attack on their freedom. Thats pretty bad.

I know im talking to like 85% of the board here but I just had to get it out after all this discussion.

this could be something that gets some arguements. do u believe that being gay is a choice or are you born/genetically gay.
my stand point being gay is a choice either a concious or sub concious choice. by sub concious choice i mean an outside influence throughout your whole life helped u become gay. for exammple if a guy grew up in a little happy go lucky family they are way more likely tto become gay than someone who grew up a tough life on the streets and ghetto.
idk i could keep going but ill see if anyone is interested and opposes it

I honestly dont understand how people become gay and prefer the company of guys over girls...just doesnt make sense to me

Who would choose discrimination and hatred (Yes some people HATE gays and want them dead) as opposed to a normal life?


Im not saying USA is a bad place, im just saying I don't think its fair to go preaching to everyone that they are the best country in the world and nobody else is as free. I get that whenever I join a message board with mostly Americans.

1) Hmm maybe thats why we haven't gotten terrorist attacks like USA and the UK, we are pussy's. Cool, we are safe not not every country hates us.

Yes, our crime and gun violence stats are high. But thats mainly in bigger cities like LA and NYC. Where I live, you don't even have to lock your doors at night. Your more likely to get shot with a paintball gun than a real gun.

Thats like that in a lot of places, and its great. I know all of USA can't be like LA or NYC but the truth is, LA and NYC exist with retarded amounts of crime.

Im still waiting for someone to explain how the US is better then every other country. Sure, bigger, richer more powerful but.... Some laws are simple insane. People get put in jail because a little weed? I think cops should spend more time on real crimes.

If a person was smoking weed while driving or driving right after they had a little weed, then yes, huge problem.

Blah blah blah its Illegal for a reason so why so damn harsh on the penalty's?

What are they gonna do? Who cares?", and they'll do it again and again and then something serious will happen. You can't just give them a slap on the wrist, you have to stop the problem and prevent it.

Kenny Owens and some other dude said in the "mate committed suicide" thread, that the US sent a MISSILE into the pentagon. Oh yeah, surrrre, and we didn't land on the moon and aliens live amongst us. Im sorry for the vulgar languge, but why the FUCK would we bomb our most important government building? Please, elaborate. What happened to the plane then? Why doesn't everyone try to publicize this then? I'm sorry, but I don't believe that.

You need to go read up a bit. The whole left in the building from where the "plane" hit was NO where near big enough for a plane to fit through, all it was was about a 10 foot diameter hole, there were no markings from the planes wings, and no big traces of a plane OR passengers found. The government also told us that the plane first skid across the grass before hitting the building, now dont you think that if that were true, the plane would have left HUGE marks in the grass and tore it up completely? Of course, but no. The grass was perfectly intact and no sign of a plane skidding across it. Also all the surroundign buildings that captured the hit on tape, the FBI was there within minutes to take the tapes, and the only ones released to the public had such bad frame rate that you cuoldnt even tell what it was.
I suggest you definetly read up a bit, you might find some of it interesting.

Loose Change is amazing. You should make an effort to sit down with some pop corn and watch it.

Also, I watched the Discovery Channel nd a show about conspiracies and it had sooo much evidence about your moon landing not existing... Oh man, It was amazing.

And the whole moon landing thing is kinda weird...I should beleive it because my Grandpa helped Neil Armstrong prepare for his mission to the moon, and once armstrong got back, my dad drove him home. No joke either so dont say thats bullshit because you wouldnt know.

Im too conveinced there was no moon landing.

It was said the first to land on the moon would win the cold war.

Russians were already getting into space when you guys were spending billions and still didn't leave the ground. Suddenly you guys were on the moon.

People got afraid so it would be logical to stage the moon landing to stop people from panicing.

Just because a relitive of yours Kenny, brought him home, dosen't mean the landing took place.
