Whos going to be running it?Because Brian Boston did last time, but im pretty sure he quit scootering. So who is the one behind it

Its going to be focused for mature riders, people who know what they are talking about and be focused on respect and intelligent discussion between riding and industry veterans.

I think you all can agree that the majority of the people on here are pretty new to scootering, this is basically made for sharing of ideas, information, and to connect the experienced riders in a better way so they don't have to sift through the turds in the sandbox on here to talk to or share ideas with experienced people in the community.

SR will always have a purpose, but it is good to have different venues to better contact the people you want.

The person behind it is a good friend of mine, but I don't want to say anything just incase he doesn't want the attention on here.

if you have questions, just go to Facebook.

I'm gonna use it but not post really. By the sounds of it, it will be very useful for everyone serious about the sport.
I think it should be recommendation or invitation only, if this website gets full of scooter kids it will all go to pot. Idc if I don't get to sign up if that's the case, I don't want a possible source of all information of scooters to get ruined by silly little kids.

That's the job of the moderators. They are supposed to clean up the place and get rid of the people causing problems. Denying people the ability to sign up will easily minus traffic by at least 50%. I've seen it first hand. You just need a good team of moderators.

I suppose. I have a feeling they will have good moderators on here. It seems as if it will be amazing.

You're right, it will need some very good moderators. But they need to know their ----- not just post a lot and delete stupid threads.

Also, any disrespect to another person on there will not be tolerated.

If you see someone has a wrong answer to something you had better be prepared to provide valid proof of why before you correct them, not just start throwing insults like we all see here.

Hey Guys

For those of you that don't know this is Chris Gascoigne. I was one of the original founders of the Ride Wire with Brian Boston. I am relaunching the website in an effort to create a hate free and supportive community. The Ride Wire is being made in NO WAY TO COMPETE WITH SCOOTER RESOURCE. I mean this. Scooter Resource was one of the originals and gave me and many others a place to come and talk about something we all love, Scooters. I've met some of my best friends because of this forum. With that said, I see needs in the scooter community that can be addressed. And besides, the more the merrier, right?

If you like the idea, show some support. If not, no worries. We all ride scooters and enjoy doing it. That's all that matters. So to hell with the hate, company rivalry, and all other negativity. We're a community that should be united if we are to succeed and grow. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please email me. Our Facebook and email is listed below.

Hello Facebook!

We are The Ride Wire, I can't stress the "we" part enough. In the past we built a strong community of riders, designers, and enthusiasts and I am happy to announce that we are going to try this again. We had fatal errors with our service providers in the past that lead to TRW's demise.

We're excited to say that we are going to launch a new version of The Ride Wire. This new version is a ways away from completion and we are in the infancy of this new project, so please don't expect to see the website up tomorrow, haha.

For now sit back and hang tight. We'll be sending out periodic announcements and progress updates as the happen. If you have any ideas, suggestions, or if you have some skills and want to pitch in then please feel free to message us. We'd love to hear feedback. This community was built by you, the riders, your feedback is critical to reigniting the community!

tl;dr - We're back, we're making something new for you all, Sit tight and wait for announcements!

I dug TRW the first time it was around, but mostly just because of the people on it. It's the members of a community that make it great, more than the community itself. Hope all goes well for the forum. I was curious as to whom would be in charge, glad to see it's not some random.

Hopefully it'll have better hosting this time around, loved the vibe of the place last time.

Hosting is a major concern. We're going with a service that has a 99% uptime guarantee. The first time around for TRW budget was a concern, frankly it still is. But this time we are making a good investment into our hosting, platform, and technologies.
