The right to scoot

What has been on my mind lately is why scootering gets so much bashing. I recently read the come up article, with the video of Matt Mckeen and itÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢s actually like we have to compete to have the right to scoot. If we are not biking or not skating we are gay. Which I think could be offensive. We are just ordinary people doing something that is fun. Scootering is a new revolution that many kids, teenagers and adults have fun on. Either tricking or cruising down the street, it doesnÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢t matter. Skating and bmxing had to go through the same thing, bashing and fighting to be acceptedÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦So why not make it easier on something new? I donÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢t know, maybe IÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢m just rambling on about the situationÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦What do you think?

Well its basically the samething all around.. its like a chain circle of people hating on each other lol. Like skateboarders hate bikers, bikers hate scooters, so on and so forth. the thing is not to listen to them, and just have fun what your doing. Cuz if you go to any skatepark you will see people who hate you and give you like this bullsh1t look but then there are others who are willing to talk to you about scootering, even if there skateboarding, biking, or on skates. If people wanna be ignorant azzholes let them.

^^ agreed

it was easyer for skating cause it developed over time and same with bmx. scooters just came on. like in 3 months after the scoooter was invented people were doing tricks. i think we got to good to quick and the fags need time to adjust to somthing new.

Both BMX and skateboarding have had the nice effect of time. They both started off as grown men/teenagers riding childrens toys. As time went on, however, the mainstream public began to become more accepting of them.

The preconceived notion of scooters is that they are a childrens toy, just as these other sports. While we are young, we have a HUGE advantage at becoming "big" and "accepted" that BMX and skate didn't have. The Internet. Personally i don't really care if our sport gets big or not, it would just be nice to not have to deal with ignorant kids hating.

Seriously, why do you even care what others think... specially those wannabe BMX posers... ride for fun, respect others and those who's opinion you should care about will most likely respect you...

Well i can see why we get hated on really, were riding a kids toy and there will always be little cunts at the park on scooters that fuck shit up. I think you guys need to get that no matter what you do in life, there will always be some faggot out there that will hate on you for doing it, no matter what it is

lol. I use to skate and was sponsored by cjs. so like i dont know, i dont really chill at Edison usually woody and clark. But I'm going to start chillin there. My real name is Jelani and I'm 14 bouta be 15. and no i dont care that u ask these questions. Things like that don't bother me.

And also I was asking because like since i quit skating like my "close" friends like abandoned me, because I started to scoot. I just don't know what the big deal is about scooting.

most bmxers pose, most scooterers dont pose, because people act different to when we ride?? meh i dont give a shit wat other people think i just ride my scooter and have fun.
