i barely land with heels anymore, but they feel so much better to ride/walk in aswell

The problem is that elyts aren't even owned by a scooter company. In addition, they look ugly and promote an image that I don't want, while skate shoes like huf, gravis, dekline, ipath, habitat, and emerica promote a better image, one that doesn't have little kids wearing moonboots snaking people at parks.
you guys know nothing of Elyts except the reminiscence of all the haterade youve been drinkin and young black entrepreneurs doing something with themselves instead of gangbangin ... imma drop a lil knowledge in this thread to maybe clear things up for some of you guys...first of all Elyts is Owned by Zig Short, Zig came to me a few years ago saying he got someone (Andy/Razors) to fund his idea of starting a shoe company. Him and I both had the same dreams, but i was weary at first because I myself was a Nike SB head and had a closet full of em. I wanted to start my own company and had my own ideas of getting there. Zig had bright ideas and after a few months of going back and forth i decided to go to Cali and check out Sunshine Dist. and meet Andy, chill and hang out in Zigs crib i decided to give Elyts and Andy a shot. now let me fast forward to present time. After a few year of kids complaining because of a rough start of a shoe company, we have stuck in there and have made a lot of milestones and alot of mistakes, ULTIMATELY giving the scooter community its first ONLY scooter shoe company. We have gone thru a shit load of manufacturers and still continue to find the best shoemakers overseas. The last Elyts shoe, the Ruckus model was officially the first shoe designed by scooter riders. I was givin the opportunity by Zig to design a shoe after working with him for 2 years. I traveled alot over the past couple years and listened to what every rider had to say about the shoes. We all knew that the shoes needed to be thinner, lighter, lower. Being able to feel and grip the deck was also a major concern of mine and a lot of riders, so we took lots of time designing the soles of the shoe. We have finally made a decent scooter shoe for the real scooter riders not just the kids at the park. Tons of riders all around the world have the Ruckus shoe already and have loved them. I personally flew out and brought Hep Greg, Logan Fueller, and Matt McKeen a pair to try out cause they all are my homies and I wanted their input on the whole shoe concept. They all gave me awesome feedback and rode the shoes til they died. Alot of other OGs have been having good experiences with the new shoe also, but yes they still need work. This is a shoe company just starting out, look how long its taken skateboard shoes to get where they are today. We cant have the prime perfect shoes right off the bat. We gotta go thru all the stages and gain our respect in the world as a real company. Instead of hating on the only Shoe company that does anything for scooter riding, maybe support the dudes that are actually trying to make things happen. We listen to you guys, things just take time to change. How are you going to support the very people that make fun of you everyday and will never help the scoot scene. Might as well help what we already have and support it so that we can continue to grow and make it better. Therefor gaining the ultimate respect from skateboarding by having our own shoe brands. MOONBOOTS are a thing in the past, and will most likely be collector items someday haha. Because we changed manufacturers, we do not make those shoes anymore... the Ruckus shoes are the only models in production as of now. We are working and a revamped version of the ruckus and also a new high top shoe. dont worry they will be thin as paper. We are also working on getting lots of trendy colorways for you kiddos. Trust me you guys we will make what you guys want just try these new shoes out cause they are tooooootally different. AND if you think allll the elyts edits are whack... well prepare to be swayed the other way. we got edits stacked already and a spotbook for almost the entire world and a dope new camera man whos ambitious as fuck. 2014 is a new year for Elyts and we are hittin every big spot in a city near you. If you think we have too many riders, look to see a new update on the actual Elyts team vs getting a hookup from a elyts. We just wanna hook homies up with free shoes tryin to spread the love. Now we found out what riders are going to stay loyal til the end so there should be only a tight-knit core group of riders left on the Elyts pro team. I think i've said all i wanted to say, Ill leave with a few words.... Elyts is going to be here until the end for scooters, give us a new start this year of 2014. Everything we make is totally new, with me as the graphic designer and the help of all you scooter homies we can slowly get shoes in every style for you guys. If you want to support skateboarding and buy their shoes go push some wood and tell all your friends about it ya homo. We ride scooters to be different and have fun being different at the skatepark, take the skate mocs off and scoot in some elyts. LEWY-V
