i've been skating non stop for like two and a half years now. i dislocated my toe about five days ago and it needed surgery and i can't skate for like two months and it's the longest break i've ever had from skating.

I know that feel. I snapped my phorx and started skating a little more, took my linx forks off of my spare and bent them in 2 weeks, so Ive been just skating lately. My friends used to make fun of scooters jokingly and say that some of the shit I threw down was sick, but now they just bash on it non stop when ever I pick up the old scoot.

kids at my school are neutral about scooters, but when they saw that i was gonna start skating they talk shiet about me, but none of them really know that i used to skate

Haha, same EXACT thing with me. Just replace school with skatepark. They all expected me to suck at skating, then I started doing shit and they shut up. Then they talk shit about scooters so I like to bring mine out and shut them up about that too. Kids really just thrive on any kind of drama.

yes, and if somebody hates on me, i learned not to listed, everybody that hates scooters are posers with Kink or Fits and cant even 180. and then they all say skating and scooters are super easy.

i didn't really "switch", i quit scooters and then one day like a month later i started skating my friends board at the park and it all just went from there.
a lot of the people i used to ride with ended up really going somewhere, which is good. but i don't regret quitting at all, i've met so many cool people and done so much cool shit all because of skating, so it was totally worth it. sk8 4 lyf.
