the "unwritten" rules... written.

Any mod contribution in this thread would be a big help. Recently my sig got deleted or whatever because it was too big. I want to make a new one but there is nowhere that tells me what sizes are acceptable. If anyone would like to make a standard than please do because I don't want to do it wrong again.

Any other things discuss in this thread as well. I know a lot of people are unhappy with the jobs that mods are doing right now; so if you want to bring up some of your concerns thats alright. Hopefully some solutions can be brought up but don't just make some random threads flaming the moderators. Thats gets nowhere. But if someone could answer my question it would be much appreciated.

Edit: Also back to the title of the thread, if you think there are rules on this site that are just basically unwritten but you think people should follow anyway, post them.

Idk... best signature size with be like a regular banner: 468x60 pixels. That would mess up anybody's screen, i believe there are users who use an older computer or a monitor or just are dumb enough to change the resolution and use 800x600 reso.

But if you would like to go to the limits of an 1024x768 screen (probably the most popular), then the max width could be like 700, if it goes over it, it will stretch out the site for those ppl with 1024x768 reso.

I suggest the height of a signature should stay in 60. Deffinetaly below 100, because if it goes way too long, then it's too annoying to scroll down more than there's text in the thread.

Shortyjordy should shorten that sig "a bit".

I hate when signatures are longer/bigger than the person's text itself in the post.

Im not trying to "flame" the mods or w/e but i think that they can all lighten up a bit. I know there "doing there jobs" but they dont need to make themselves look like assholes.
Just my opinion so dont flip out.

I got myself banned.
My tip for signatures... first, userbars are old news, no one cares about them. Second, huge signatures are retarded, people are going to look at it once than ignore it. Theres no point in having a signature as long as the screen it stretches, and if its tall it just adds more crap to scroll through for people just trying to read the forums. I goto some forums where your not even allowed to have pictures in your sig.

Ugh you all suck. I know that a bunch of people don't like whats going on with the site right now. "Ah ______ Mod SUCKS and is gay and blah blah.." is what people have been saying but now that you guys have a chance to like call out the mod for whatever you think wasnt right no one is saying anything? weeakkk. if any mod wants to back up something they might've done to make people angry.... do it. Maybe it will make the forum a happier place. :)

I think people like me as a mod...i haven't had any complaints. But sometimes mods can be strict..but some people have to be strict in order to keep a civilized community..
