There new CD came out icky thump came out it isnt that bad. Over all they're pretty good.

icky thump is the weirdest song i've ever heard. and i think the white stripes need a bass guitar and a plexiglass sound shield in front of their drumset to kill the extra cymbal noises.

1. if icky thump is the weirdest song you've ever heard, i hate to sound like a dick, but do you listen to mainstream?
2. jack white decided before the career to not include a bassist in their sound. he is involved in other bands which use bassists, so he's not against them or anything. as a matter of fact, he uses bass in the songs, but never at the same time as guitar, and there's no bassist.
3.drum sheild=your opinion, that's fine. the cymbals can be a bit harsh.

They sound just fine without a bass player. It's actually kinda cool how there is only the two of them.
