Hey Guys,

Now, enough already with the bad mouthing other companies on this thread or any thread associated with VertX. Any issues between VertX and any other company should be between the companies, their owners and corporate officers. Obliviously I can’t speak for other manufacturing companies and the threads on this or any other forums but I don’t want to hear or see it on any of our threads any more. This is a large industry that we all hope is going to grow. There is plenty of room for all companies that want to be in it. We do not want to see any one go out of business, most of the companies that have been involved, have been doing a good job of promoting and growing our sport.

the wheels SUCK!!
This is the Vertx section, please complain about Lucky parts elsewhere...

Haha only joking. What sucks about them? To me they are great, fast as hell. A bit hard, but it's bearable.

Right I've had a chance to ride the wheels now and here is what I thought:

Pros:

-Very fast
-Smooth
-Don't chunk very easily
-Don't dehub very easily

Cons:

-Very hard (May not be a con for some people)
-Not the grippiest wheels ever.

All in all though I love them, I don't really ride too much street, and they are brilliant for park.

I thought they were pretty grippy actually. I need some new bearings so I can just ride the damn things already, they've just been sitting around.

I haven't had a case where grip has been a problem for me, but I hear they don't do too well on wooden ramps.

I rode these and they were so hard and slippery I didn't like them. They were pretty fast though I'll give them that... somewhere between like Phoenix and Twizzlers but Protos are still the fastest wheels in the world, from my experience.

Why dont they annodize? The chrome is kinda off putting for most non stock color schemes
They have anodizing samples coming in from charters at the moment, however I do not know as to whether they are anodizing cores of wheels, however I hope they do.

I don't know who started the great idea of these wheels being slow? But there actually really fast, a kid from my town recently got the Mag 110's probably the fastest wheel i've ever rode..

That's what I said from the start. They're fast wheels, I'd say it's close between VertX wheels and Eagles. Eagles lose their speed pretty fast, my VertX wheels are just as fast now as when I first got them. The harder urethane helps with that. They really don't slide, but yeah the urethane is pretty hard, so if you don't like harder wheels like Sliders, it might take some getting used to VertX wheels.

theyre pretty fast, from my experience theyre not as fast as protos or eagles but they're close behind eagles. protos are still the fastest
