So recently i went to a few seshs that had alot of scooter riders attending. one thing i really noticed is that most of the riders there were snakes. yes i said it, the skaters are right i just never realized it until a few days ago. it got to the point where i had to snake riders just to get a run in. not only was it really annoying but also super disrespectful. the first time i went to a skatepark it was common sense not to snake people, but obviously some of you dont have any common sense. so heres a few simple things you should always be doing at a skatepark so you dont make the entire sport look bad.
- look to see if someone else wants to go, if someone is ready to drop in at the same time, kindly let them go, most of the time they will tell you to go
- if you see someone sitting there and he hasent gone in a long time, offer to let him go first.
- if a skater busts his ass and his board flys away and lands next to you, dont be a douche bag and just stand there, roll it back to them. (im not saying suck the skaters dick, just be a nice person)
- if someone is on the cooping ready to drop in, and you arent, they go first, simple as that.
-DONT RIDE FLAT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAMN PARK.
- dont sit on grind boxes and ledges when there are obviously people that are trying to ride it. you can chill on top of the quarter (on top of it, not sitting on the cooping with your legs hanging off, and make sure you arent in anyones way, people do manual on top of quarters) or on benches.
- if you accidentally snake someone or run into someone, a simple "my bad" will make you that much more mature.
- if someone is in your way, just give them a heads up. i saw a few riders yelling at people to move the fuck out of the way, thats not cool.
- dont stand in the middle of a park for no reason, i you want to stand, stand on the side as close to the fence as you can.
- when you have to get to the other side of the park, and the only way to the other side is through the middle, watch to see if people are going.
if anyone wants to add, please do.
