This just might be the dumbest question ever but,....

Ok so my freind saw my scooter so he got a scooter. Its just a stock rup. Im helping him put it together and I seriously can not get the bars anywhere near straight. Does it just take a while or is there some trick? Sorry I have never ever done this.

slide the bars on, doesnt matter if there crooked. tighten each clamp bolt until you feel the slightest amount of pressure. then align the bars with the wheel and then fully tighten each bolt
